With the first convention out of the way this year, I can't help but think that I'm getting too old for this.   That, or the audience is getting younger because the maturity level was dangerously low.  Never before had we actually have to take evasive maneuvers with the kids.  We even witnessed one girl picking out marks and then hiding so that she may ambush the unfortunate person.

But you don't want to listen to an old fart complain about the kids these days, right?  On to the pictures!

We don't have our Deathnote pictures yet, but hopefully we'll get them soon.  

But now we get a full week of Jared in Bakersfield to work on Project: Unicorn Giggles.

Once again I find myself with a lot of free time.  Same problem as before,  just a different diagnosis and with a full month off work.  D'oh.

Fanime is approaching.   So I thought I'd take this time to work on the costumes Jared and I would like to wear.  Our line-up this year is Jet and Toph (Avatar), Roku and Murasaki (Pop'n Music), and Light and Misa (Deathnote).

He's got Light covered. And we've got Roku already halfway done.  So the only real challenge is going to be Jet with his armor and weaponry.

And with the help of my Papa, we've managed to knock out the majority of the swords today.  He cut out the shapes in the plexiglass (I didn't want to use wood.  Too heavy) and I shaped them with my handy little dremel tool.
