I decided earlier this year that I wanted to make a book. Whether or not it got published is something else entirely, I just want to make an illustrated book.
Over the past couple weeks while
Please disregard the big ugly watermark. I hate to do it, but I dislike other sites taking my artwork or pictures without permission even more. :C They won't be on my final product, of course.
And now that I've had a minor surgery on my hip, I'll have a little more free time to work on this. Yay for time, boo for stitches.
Copy pasted from my little art site.
I moved recently and I’m just now getting back into the swing of things. To celebrate our new place, Mister Boyfriend and I bought some of Kid Robot’s new Mini Munnies to paint and display on our sweet new toy shelf. Well, I’ll paint and he’ll display.Above is the work in progress. His munny is looking happily upon my dismembered body.
Have I mentioned how much I love Kid Robot? Seriously. The way to my heart is through vinyl toys.
Our new place is awesome. Momo gets to go on walks and act tough to the other dogs, Chief gets giant windows and video games, and I get a sweet-ass apartment and more Rock Band than I could ever hope for.
Chief's new favorite game is n+. Tiny ninjas bouncing all over a gigantic screen? Must be like heaven.
My roommate's girlfriend gave me the best Christmas present yesterday. A Munny. Last week we were talking about how one of the things I was most excited about moving to the Bay Area was that I'd be close to a Kid Robot store. I have been wanting to pick up a Munny/Dunny for a long time and just haven't had the time or money to venture into the city (and I didn't want to go alone).
Anyway, I spent all of this afternoon/evening sketching up a storm trying to figure out what I want to put on him and I settled on a zombie.
Of course.
I'll be spending tomorrow putting this on the Munny. Ha ha. Sorry, other presents.
Once I get my credit card bill under control and
get a more stable job, I have to make the trip to Kid Robot to buy
more. Now that I've seen one in person and actually own one, they
are just too awesome.
I've really been giving my markers and sketchbook a workout
lately. They haven't seen this much action in a long
time. It feels good. :C
Also, a friend of mine had me make a RockBand community profile thing. You all should totally add me.
I haven't been updating recently. There's a couple reasons for that. First, it's just to cold for me to sit out in my workshop for hours at a time and secondly, I just don't have the time anymore.
About a month ago I took a second job. Theres a couple reasons for that too. I have a bit of debt (HAH. "A bit") and Jared and I have decided to save up and move out towards the end of the year. So I'm a cocktail waitress again and trying to work my way up to the bar.
But, I'm still going to be doing Right-Side-of-the-Brain things. We're working on creating some books and other fun things to sell at Fanime this May. So I'll probably be posting more sketches/doodles/fingerpaintings in the future.
I'm also playing a lot of Warcraft. If any of you guys out there play Horde (You all know I think Alliance is a bunch of cocksuckers), then you should join up with us for the "[This is Good]" guild. It's a lot of fun and it's for Voxers. I hate playing with jerks I don't know. So come play with me!
