Badass in the Making.
Once again I find myself with a lot of free time. Same problem as before, just a different diagnosis and with a full month off work. D'oh.
Fanime is approaching. So I thought I'd take this time to work on the costumes Jared and I would like to wear. Our line-up this year is Jet and Toph (Avatar), Roku and Murasaki (Pop'n Music), and Light and Misa (Deathnote).
He's got Light covered. And we've got Roku already halfway done. So the only real challenge is going to be Jet with his armor and weaponry.
And with the help of my Papa, we've managed to knock out the majority of the swords today. He cut out the shapes in the plexiglass (I didn't want to use wood. Too heavy) and I shaped them with my handy little dremel tool.
As you can see, theres still quite a bit of work to do. Some more sanding (especially where the glue foamed) and shaping on the daggers on the end and the correct color painted on. That was just slapped on so I could see what needed work. :D
The armor is a different story. But it'll probably be make of leather and resin for the hip and shoulders.
